Even though The North Penn Knights scored an imposing 35 points on Friday, the Spring-Ford Rams still came out on top. Spring-Ford took their game against North Penn 42-35. Given Spring-Ford's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 25th, while North Penn is ranked 96th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Spring-Ford was led to victory by Mason Scott and Matt Zollers. Scott picked up 204 receiving yards and three touchdowns, while Zollers threw for 261 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 12.4 yards per attempt. Zollers hasn't dropped below three passing touchdowns for three straight games.
Spring-Ford is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. As for North Penn, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.
Spring-Ford will be playing in front of their home fans against Central Bucks South at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. North Penn does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
