Coronado has gone 10-0 against Canon City recently and they'll look to pad the win column further  on Thursday. The Coronado Cougars will look to defend their home field  against the Canon City Tigers  at 3:30  p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
 Coronado is headed in fresh off scoring the most  runs they have all season. They never let Palmer onto the board and left with  a   26-0  victory  on Tuesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest  win of the  season.
  Bentley Brandt made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She  tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in four consecutive pitching appearances. She was even better at the plate,  scoring five  runs while  getting on base  in all five of her plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  Allie Micci was  incredible,  going 4-for-4 with six  RBI, two  runs, and a  double. That's the most  hits  she has posted since  back in September of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of  Madison Grimmer, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-3.
 Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Coronado  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 14  hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Palmer didn't  hit any.
 Meanwhile, Canon City won against James Irwin  on Thursday with 16  runs and they decided to stick to that  run total again  on Tuesday. Everything went Canon City's way against Woodland Park as Canon City made off with  a  16-1 victory. That's two games straight that the Tigers have won by  exactly 15  runs.
 Like Coronado, Canon City also got a great game from a two-way player:  Khloe Weise. She looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching three innings while giving up just one earned run off   three  hits. Weise was also solid in the batter's box,  getting on base  in all three of her plate appearances with two  runs and a  triple.
 In other batting news,  Kristyn Barnes was  incredible,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was  Cammi Leis, who  scored three  runs while  getting on base  in all three of her plate appearances.
 Coronado is  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 6-8 record  this season. As for Canon City,  the  win also got them back to even at 7-7.
 Thursday's   game will be a test for both team's pitchers. Coronado hasn't had any issues making contact this season,  having earned a batting average of 0. However, it's not like Canon City struggles in that department as   they've  averaged 0. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
