After flying high against the Calvary Chapel Grizzlies on Wednesday, the Indian Springs COYOTES came back down to earth. Indian Springs ended up on the wrong side of a tough 72-50 walloping at the hands of Covina on Thursday. Indian Springs was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Covina apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2021.
Several COYOTES players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Adorian Cherry, who scored 28 points. Cherry scored a full 56% of Indian Springs' points, the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Zachai Jacobs was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with nine rebounds.
Indian Springs has fallen quite a ways from their 21-10 record last season and are now at 7-12. As for Covina, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-4.
Indian Springs and Canyon Springs will face off at 6:00 p.m. on December 29th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Walnut has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 311 points over their last four contests.
