The Tipton Blue Devils put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 84-54 victory over Northwestern at home. Tipton has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 22 points or more this season.
Tipton was led to victory by Nolan Swan and Grady Carpenter. Swan scored 29 points along with seven assists and three steals, while Carpenter went 6 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 32 points and 8 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Carpenter has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Money, who scored 13 points along with four steals.
Tipton's win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-0. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 25.89 points. As for Northwestern, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tipton will square off against Kokomo at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Northwestern, they will head out on the road to take on Peru at 7:45 p.m. on Saturday.
