While it was all tied up 17-17 at halftime, the Moorcroft Wolves were not quite the Glenrock Herders's equal in the second half on Saturday. Moorcroft fell just short of Glenrock by a score of 38-36. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss Moorcroft has suffered yet this season.
Despite the loss, Moorcroft still got an impressive performance from Kaeley Hutchison, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Jadyn Lubkeman, who scored four points along with two blocks.
Moorcroft has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season. As for Glenrock, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Moorcroft on the road again on Friday and play against Sundance at 5:00 p.m. on January 26th. As for Glenrock, Glenrock and Newcastle will face off at 5:30 p.m. on January 26th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Newcastle focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 41 on Saturday.
