This season hasn't been kind to the Fruitdale Pirates, who are still winless after their fifth matchup. They had to suffer through a rough 60-7 loss at the hands of McIntosh. Fruitdale was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-7.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead McIntosh to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brittney Reed Jr. , who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 15 rebounds. The match was Reed Jr. 's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Dristen Sullivan, who scored 15 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 assists.
Fruitdale's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for McIntosh, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fruitdale will take on Jackson at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. McIntosh will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Alabama School of Math & Science at 6:30 p.m. on December 12th.
