Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Jacksonville Cardinals, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They fell to Southern Alamance 25-19. Jacksonville's defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
Although Jacksonville took the loss, they still got scores from Demon June and Ra-shawn Echols.
Logan Foust was his usual excellent self, rushing for 283 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.1 yards per carry. Foust is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last five games he's played.
Jacksonville's loss dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Southern Alamance, their win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-1.
Jacksonville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Southern Alamance will be playing in front of their home fans against Terry Sanford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Terry Sanford has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 222 points over their last five matchups.
