Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bishop McCort). They simply couldn't be stopped on Wednesday as they easily beat the Somerset Eagles 81-46. Given the Crushers' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 136th, while the Eagles are ranked 606th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the defeat, Somerset saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Aiden Roby went 8 for 15 on his way to 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Stoy, who posted eight points and six assists.

Bishop McCort has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Somerset, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Bishop McCort will take on Chestnut Ridge at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Bishop McCort will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak. As for Somerset, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 91-26 loss against Greater Johnstown on the 10th.
