The River Oaks Mustangs had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 58-56 win over Prairie View Academy on Monday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Despite the loss, Prairie View Academy still got an impressive performance from Tollan Wallace, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Nathan Stokes, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
River Oaks' win bumped their record up to 11-15. As for Prairie View Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-8.
River Oaks does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Prairie View Academy also has no future games currently scheduled.
