The East Leopards's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They took a 57-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of Skyline. East has not had much luck with Skyline recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite the loss, East still got an impressive performance from Cooper Dodd, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. That's the first time this season that Dodd pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Sawyer Sutton, who scored 14 points.
Skyline found their leader in underclassman Trenton Wells, who scored 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Beau Bierman, who scored nine points.
East now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Skyline, their win bumped their record up to 9-5.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Highland the next time they take the court. East will head out to face Highland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Skyline will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
