Wethersfield is on a five-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Rocky Hill is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Eagles will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Terriers at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.
Wethersfield barely beat Plainville the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Eagles never let the Blue Devils get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Rocky Hill). They were the clear victors by a 23-3 margin over Manchester on Monday. Considering the Terriers have won five matchups by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Mia Ferreira made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Ferreira was even better at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs and two RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2025.
In other batting news, Rocky Hill got a massive performance out of Sophia Milman, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That stolen base was Milman's first of the season. Another player making a difference was Juliana Incarvito, who got on base in five of her six plate appearances with four runs and two stolen bases.
Rocky Hill kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in four consecutive contests.
Rocky Hill's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Wethersfield, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Wethersfield got the 'W' when the teams last played back in May of 2025 against Rocky Hill by a conclusive 12-1 score. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Terriers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
