As for Buckfield, the  win was  the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-1. The  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.5 runs on average over those games.
For Buckfield's part,  Carmen Crockett made a splash while hitting and pitching. She  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only  one  hit while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. Crockett has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts any time she's  pitched this season. She was also big at the plate,  going 3-for-5 with two  RBI and one  run. Those  three  hits gave  her a new career-high.
 In other batting news, Buckfield got a  massive  performance out of  Chloee Bennett, who  went 3-for-6 with one  home run, six  RBI,  and two  runs. Those  six  RBI gave  Bennett a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Brittany Carrier, who  got on base  in all six of her plate appearances with four  runs, two  stolen bases,  and two  RBI.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Old Orchard Beach will host Sacopee Valley  at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The Seagulls are facing the Hawks at the right time seeing as the Hawks are stuck on  an  11-game losing streak. As for Buckfield, they will face off against Wiscasset at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. The Wolverines have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.55  runs per game on average), something the Bucks will no doubt try to take advantage of.
