The Sylva Bay Academy Saints's game last Thursday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Discovery Christian as Sylva Bay Academy made off with a 41-17 win. Sylva Bay Academy pushed the score to 34-12 by the end of the third, a deficit the had little chance of recovering from.
Sylva Bay Academy was led to victory by Anna Poole and Reese Shumock. Poole scored seven points, while Shumock scored nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lily Hatcher, who scored ten points.
Sylva Bay Academy's win bumped their record up to 12-10. As for Discovery Christian, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.
Sylva Bay Academy is on the road again on Thursday and plays the Lions at 6:30 p.m. on February 1st. Lamar Christian is coming into the contest hot, having won their last seven games. Discovery Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
