The Norwich Free Academy Wildcats were the 77-54 winner over the Fitch Falcons when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Norwich Free Academy fell 57-45 to Fitch on Friday. Norwich Free Academy can't seem to catch a break and have yet to win any of their one games.
When it comes to explaining why Norwich Free Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Keegan Johnston. Despite the final result, he scored 12 points.
Fitch can attribute much of their success to Jayvon "JJ" Robinson, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 assists. Another player making a difference was Jacob Francis, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 18 rebounds.
Norwich Free Academy bumped their record down to 0-1 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road dating back to last season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.0 points per game. As for Fitch, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Norwich Free Academy will be home for the holidays to greet East Lyme at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully East Lyme focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Friday. As for Fitch, they will head out on the road to face off against Windham at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
