Make it seven blowout wins for the Faustina Academy Falcons this season. They blew past Lakewood Presbyterian, posting a 77-48 victory at home. The victory was familiar territory for Faustina Academy who now have three in a row.
Ben Nelson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, almost dropping a triple-double on 22 points, nine rebounds, and nine steals. He hasn't dropped below 16 points for five straight games. Finn Marsden was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 13 rebounds.
Lakewood Presbyterian lost on Thursday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Sean Warren, who scored 14 points along with three blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Warren has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Steven Montgomery, who scored six points along with four blocks.
Faustina Academy pushed their record up to 13-5 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.8 points per game. As for Lakewood Presbyterian, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-13.
Coincidentally, Faustina Academy and the Knights will both be playing the Warriors the next time they take the court. Lakewood Presbyterian will host Trinity Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Faustina Academy will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
