Alesandre Monge went supernova for Northeast Metro RVT, scoring 17 points along with four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Monge has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Richard Cardoso, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds.
Notre Dame Cristo Rey has not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season. As for Northeast Metro RVT, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Notre Dame Cristo Rey will take on Pioneer Charter School of Science at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Massachusetts (Notre Dame Cristo Rey is ranked 320th, while Pioneer Charter School of Science is ranked 299th). As for Northeast Metro RVT, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Stoneham at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Northeast Metro RVT knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five contests -- so hopefully Stoneham likes a good challenge.
