Delbarton really took it to DePaul Catholic for the full four quarters, racking up a 28-0 victory at home. The victory was familiar territory for Delbarton who now have six in a row.
Leading Delbarton to victory were Brock Dandridge and Ryan Trafford. Dandridge rushed for 111 yards and a touchdown on only 14 carries, while Trafford rushed for 99 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries. Trafford is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last four games he's played.
Even if they lost, DePaul Catholic's defense still kept up the pressure with three sacks. Leading the way was Yasire Howell and his two sacks.
Delbarton's victory was their seventh straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 7-1. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-7 St. Peter's Prep and 3-6 Paramus Catholic (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 42.6% over those games). As for DePaul Catholic, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.
