St. James Academy and Bonner Springs played the most hotly contested game in Freelance this week, with St. James Academy eventually emerging with a 17-16 victory. Jake Bade ran for 214 yards and caught one passes for nine yards in the win.
St. James Academy's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Thunder feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Jansen Keyes has thrown for 782 yards and eight touchdowns this season, while Alex King has 23 catches for 334 yards. Bade leads the league in rushing with 819 yards.
The Eagles led the league in scoring this week after putting up 53 points on the Bulldogs.
