The Tradition Prep Pirates lost against the Morningside Academy Eagles back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Tradition Prep was outmatched by Morningside Academy on the road and fell 59-30. Tradition Prep was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-15.
Morningside Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Emmilina Miller out in front who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Miller has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Aniya Young, who scored ten points along with nine steals and five assists.
Tradition Prep's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Morningside Academy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-3.
Tradition Prep will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Morningside Academy at 4:00 p.m. As for Morningside Academy, they will square off against Babcock at 11:30 a.m. on Friday. Babcock's defense has only allowed 27.9 points per game this season, so Morningside Academy's offense will have their work cut out for them.
