The Brewbaker Tech Rams pushed their score all the way to 62 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Trinity Presbyterian by a score of 65-62. Brewbaker Tech was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Trinity Presbyterian apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played two weeks ago.
Brewbaker Tech's loss came despite strong showings from Johnathan Williams and Tyler Dixon. Williams dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds, while Dixon scored 16 points along with nine rebounds. That's the first time this season that Dixon pulled down eight or more rebounds. Kevin Honer was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with nine rebounds.
Even though they lost, Brewbaker Tech were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
This is the second loss in a row for Brewbaker Tech and nudges their season record down to 4-10. As for Trinity Presbyterian, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.
Brewbaker Tech will head out on the road to face off against LAMP at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Trinity Presbyterian will be home for the holidays to greet Montgomery Catholic at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Alabama (Montgomery Catholic is ranked 260th, while Trinity Presbyterian is ranked 262nd).
