The Emerald Vikings scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They took down Mid-Carolina 58-43. The win was some much needed relief for Emerald as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Mid-Carolina lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kaden Myers, who scored 20 points. The matchup was Myers' ninth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Connor Cromer, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Emerald's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-5. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.7 points per game. As for Mid-Carolina, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.
Emerald will head out on the road to face off against Batesburg-Leesville at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Batesburg-Leesville has insisted on making their lastfour contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 2-2 during that stretch of close contests. Mid-Carolina won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Woodruff at 7:30 p.m. on December 20th. One thing working in Woodruff's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four matchups.
