Basketball Recap: Northside Christian Academy's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak at Home

Northside Christian Academy entered their contest against First Assembly Christian Academy on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Northside Christian Academy lost to the First Assembly Christian Academy Eagles at home by a 62-44 margin. Northside Christian Academy lost against First Assembly Christian Academy in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 68-21 score last time.

First Assembly Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mason Burke, who went 7 of 16 on his way to 21 points and eight boards. The dominant performance gave Burke a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sean James, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 15 points and eight rebounds.

Northside Christian Academy's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-2. As for First Assembly Christian Academy, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

Northside Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 56-36 victory against Open Bible Christian on the 13th. As for First Assembly Christian Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 60-40 win against Corinth Christian Academy on the 13th.
