The Edison Vikings waltzed into their game on Monday with two straight wins but they left with three. They enjoyed a cozy 64-45 victory over Gregori. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Edison also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2021.
Edison found their leader in underclassman Damarcus Cobb Jr, who scored 18 points along with three steals. Cobb Jr hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Terrell Tek, who scored 13 points along with six assists and five rebounds.
Edison has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a massive bump to their 15-8 record this season. As for Gregori, their loss dropped their record down to 12-12.
Edison will head out on the road to take on the Titans at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Chavez will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 737th, while the Vikings are ranked 352nd). As for Gregori, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
