The Solvay Bearcats suffered their closest defeat yet this season on Wednesday. They fell just short of Cortland by a score of 51-48.
Leading Cortland to victory were Damauri Bell and Caden Albright. Bell scored 12 points along with four steals, while Albright scored 22 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Albright has scored all season.
Solvay dropped their record down to 2-8 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Cortland, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-10.
Solvay will head out on the road to take on Marcellus at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cortland, they will be playing at home against Homer at 6:45 p.m. on Friday.
