Mechanicsburg dropped their record down to 7-4 on Thursday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Cedar Cliff Colts by a score of 6-5. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Colts this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-5 back in March.
Mechanicsburg got a good showing from James Markowitz, who pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits.
On the hitting side, Mechanicsburg saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jager Nailor, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.
As for Cedar Cliff, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-2. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 3.75 runs across that stretch.
On Cedar Cliff's side, Grant Enders was excellent, going 2-for-4 with four RBI and one double. Those four RBI gave Enders a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Anastasi, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Meanwhile, Cedar Cliff will face off against rival Cumberland Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
