The Florence Huskies and the University Bulldogs squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but sadly the Florence Huskies had to settle for second. Florence suffered a tough 40-15 defeat at the hands of University. The contest was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly Florence struggled afterwards.
Florence's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Luguse Nuss, who rushed for 85 yards on only ten carries.
Coel Croissant was a one-man wrecking crew for University as he threw for 260 yards and five touchdowns on only 18 passes, and also rushed for 127 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries. Will Korby also helped out with an impressive 89 receiving yards.
Florence's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for University, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 8-2.
Florence does not have any more games scheduled as of now. University will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Rifle at 1:00 p.m. on November 11th. Rifle will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive.
