Vicksburg proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 16) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Edwardsburg, sneaking past 7-5. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Vicksburg pushed their record up to 16-8-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.4 runs over those games. As for Paw Paw, their defeat dropped their record down to 22-10.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Saturday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Vicksburg has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.2 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Paw Paw struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.3 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Vicksburg skirted past Paw Paw 5-3 when the teams last played last Monday. Do the Bulldogs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Red Wolves turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
