On Friday, Escalon are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against Sonora at 5:00 PM. It might come down to the wire as the game is expected to be close.
Escalon had a bit more than a touchdown to spare in a 21-7 win over Calaveras.
Meanwhile, Sonora found themselves the relunctant recipients of an unpleasant 0-34 punch to the gut against Ripon last Friday.
Escalon's victory lifted them to 2-0 while Sonora's loss dropped them down to 0-2. We'll find out if Escalon can add another positive mark to their record or if Sonora can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Escalon's step.
