The FAMU DRS Baby Rattlers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their 13th straight loss. They fell 68-57 to Blountstown. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Despite the loss, FAMU DRS still got an impressive performance from Eric Turral, who scored 26 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Turral has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Zekie Ragin, who scored four points along with five steals.
Cyion Smith continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Blountstown, scoring 21 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Aidan Richards, who scored 13 points along with two steals.
FAMU DRS dropped their record down to 2-20 with that loss, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for Blountstown, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-11.
FAMU DRS's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Seahawks at 7:30 p.m. on February 1st. Hopefully Franklin County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 last Monday. As for Blountstown, they will play host again and welcome the Tiger Sharks, where tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Florida (Port St. Joe is ranked 466th, while the Tigers are ranked 449th).
