Rocky River extended their losing streak  to five  on Thursday, dropping them down to 3-14. They came up short against  the Ballantyne Ridge Wolves, falling  3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  3-0  back in September.
As for Ballantyne Ridge, their win  ended  a  seven-match drought on the road  and  puts them at 6-15. They not only won  on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win  since September 11th (when they won  3-0).
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ballantyne Ridge to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Campbell Whitcomb, who  had five  aces. That's the most  aces  Whitcomb has posted since back in August.  Ziyana Brown-Thompson also deserves some recognition as  she  had her first  blocks of the season.
 We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Rocky River is set to  challenge  their familiar foe Palisades  at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday. Meanwhile, Ballantyne Ridge will  square off against  rival Providence  at 7:00  p.m.  on Monday.
