4A District 1 recap October 29, 2013
Anadarko added to the longest winning streak in 4A District 1 this week by beating Piedmont, 27-0. The victory was the eighth in a row for the team.
Woodward led the league in scoring this week by notching 54 points on Cache.
Anadarko's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Brandon Pollard threw for 180 and 1 touchdown and Matt Kaulaity had 61 yards receiving. On the ground RJ Sink chipped in 126 yards. Josh Parton helped Anadarko's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 59 yards.
Malik Boardingham was a key player and the best on defense this week as Kent Jackson's team bested the Wildcats. The 6-foot-4 junior grabbed 2 sacks.
Pollard put up the best numbers in passing as the Warriors defeated Piedmont. Pollard's favorite target this week was Kaulaity, who caught 3 passes for 61 yards.
Anadarko's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Warriors feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Pollard has thrown for 1,097 yards and 10 touchdowns this season, while Brayden Alexander has 25 catches for 373 yards.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Clinton takes on the Boomers. The Red Tornadoes are in third place, while Woodward is in second place.
