The team also got some help courtesy of  Henley Shoemaker, who  went 1-for-2 with four  stolen bases and one  run.
 The scorekeeper got an easy start  back in April as neither Nemaha Central nor Perry-Lecompton made it on the board until the tenth inning. The Thunder fell  6-3 to the Kaws. Thunder fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Kaws since  back in April.
 Hiawatha's loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Nemaha Central, their  defeat was their first of the  season and  makes their record 3-1.
 Hiawatha might still be hurting after the  10-0 loss they got from Nemaha Central  when the teams last played  back in April of 2024. Can the Red Hawks avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
