Softball Recap: Dodson Wins Going Away Against Lincoln Prep

Fans were treated to a battle of the Panthers on Tuesday. Dodson blew past Lincoln Prep 15-3. Dodson might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by ten runs or more this season.

Dodson got a massive performance out of Amber Johnson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. The dominant performance also gave Johnson a new career-high in RBI (two). Another player making a difference was Emma Fenn, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.

Dodson was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. They are 9-4 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Dodson has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-10 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.6 runs over those games. As for Lincoln Prep, they dropped their record down to 0-8-1 with the loss, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coincidentally, Dodson and Lincoln Prep will both be playing Arcadia the next time they take the field. Lincoln Prep will host Arcadia at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while Dodson will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
