Marais des Cygnes Valley entered their tilt with Olpe on Saturday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 2-0. That's the fourth time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 2-0 win last Tuesday.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Marais des Cygnes Valley took both sets by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-14.

Emily Criqui paced Marais des Cygnes Valley's offense, picking up 18 kills. Criqui got some help from Akyra Michelle Traver and her nine assists. Michelle Traver was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Marais des Cygnes Valley's win bumped their record up to 33-2. As for Olpe, their loss ended a seven-match streak of away wins and brought them to 21-12.

Marais des Cygnes Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Lebo on the 11th. As for Olpe, they will welcome Flinthills on Monday. The last three games the Mustangs have played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
