The Beachside Barracudas scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They blew past Trinity Christian Academy 99-63 at home. Winning may never get old, but Beachside sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Despite the loss, Trinity Christian Academy had strong showings from Jordan Martinez, who scored 19 points along with five steals, and Luke Baker, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds. Baker is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last four games he's played. Ethan Wheeler was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with 11 rebounds.
Beachside has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-11 record this season. As for Trinity Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-8.
Beachside will take on the Sharks at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Ponte Vedra presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Barracudas in Florida (the Sharks are ranked 71st, while the Barracudas are ranked 360th). As for Trinity Christian Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Kodiaks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
