On Saturday, DME Academy Blue came up short against Wekiva and fell 46-36. DME Academy Blue has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Wekiva was led to victory by Jasmine Pooler and Tierra Coleman. Pooler scored 12 points along with 5 rebounds, while Coleman scored 13 points along with 6 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Brakayla Anderson, who scored 6 points.
DME Academy Blue's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Wekiva, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
DME Academy Blue will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Hagerty at 6:30 p.m. on December 8th. Wekiva's road trip will continue as they head out to face Evans at 6:00 p.m. on November 27th. Hopefully Evans focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 52 on Saturday.
