Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Bowen Boilermakers, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They were just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 69-68 to the Huskies. Bowen's loss signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.
Despite the loss, Bowen still got an impressive performance from Rae'Qwon Rogers, who scored 28 points along with six assists and two steals. Rashad Jackson was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with two steals.
Bowen's defeat dropped their record down to 20-9. As for Horizon Science Academy-Southwest, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 22-7 record this season.
Bowen does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Horizon Science Academy-Southwest will take on the Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Julian has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 429 points over their last six matches.
