After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against East Hamilton, Ooltewah was happy to have turned things around  on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  2-1  victory over the Walker Valley Mustangs. The  win was some much needed relief for the Owls as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.
 It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Ooltewah got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 21-25,  15-7.
 Despite the loss, Walker Valley still got an impressive performance from   Caileigh Collins, who  had 12  digs, two  aces, and a  kill.
 Ooltewah's victory bumped their record up to 7-16. As for Walker Valley, they have  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost eight of their last nine games,  which put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record  this season.
 Ooltewah will square off against Rhea County at 6:15  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Walker Valley, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  contest,  a  2-0  win vs. Copper Basin on the 21st.
