7A District 7 recap November 5, 2013
Curtis Fitch and Jake Carroll provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Gaither. The connection was good for 95 yards, the longest such play in 7A District 7 this season.
The Cowboys and Steinbrenner played the most contested game in the league this week, with the Cowboys eventually emerging with a 35-30 victory. Alex McGough threw for 201 yards and 1 touchdown and ran for 125 yards during the win.
The Warriors' dynamic duo of Fitch and Carroll proved to be unstoppable against Gaither, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Fitch threw for 187 yards and 2 touchdowns and Carroll had 98 yards receiving. Kezio Snelling helped Steinbrenner's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 48 yards.
McGough provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Jason Stokes' team beat Steinbrenner. McGough's favorite target this week was Sam Ford, who caught 2 passes for 52 yards.
Ray Ray McCloud III was a beast in the backfield as Sickles bested Tampa Bay Tech.
He was 11-21 with 1 interception.
6-foot-3 quarterback Deon Cain of the Titans is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1,798. He has also thrown 13 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Chett Levay. The Sickles star has 39 catches for 579 yards.
Tampa Bay Tech fell to the Gryphons 35-8 last week, the largest margin of any game. Cain was a bright spot for Jayson Roberts' team, as he threw for 42 yards and ran for 34 yards in the loss.
