Arkeel Newsome ran for six touchdowns to lift
Ansonia (Conn.) to a 56-21 beat over Masuk (Monroe, Conn.). Thanks to solid play, the senior now has 26 touchdowns for the year.
After taking the lead on an Newsome touchdown run in the first quarter, the Chargers led 34-14 at the half.
Ansonia grew its lead to 35 points entering the fourth quarter. AHS scored three times in the third, including once on an Newsome touchdown run.
With the win the Chargers extended their winning streak to six games. Ansonia defeated Derby 62-28 last week.
Ansonia (6-0) will play a Naugatuck Valley - Brass game against Wolcott next week. The Eagles will bring a record of 4-1 into the meeting.
