The American Heritage Patriots can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Thursday. They put the hurt on Goleman with a sharp 64-44 win. American Heritage's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Despite the loss, Goleman had strong showings from Nicholas Ewing, who scored 12 points along with nine rebounds, and Marcelo Bautista, who scored ten points. Ewing is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Michael Gonzalez, who scored four points along with five rebounds.
American Heritage's victory bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Goleman, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.
American Heritage will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against American at 3:00 p.m. on December 15th. American presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than American Heritage in Florida (American is ranked 134th, while American Heritage is ranked 434th). Goleman will be home for the holidays to greet iMater Charter at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
