The Sugar Creek Wildcats's 12-game losing streak dating back to last season came to an end on Friday. They blew past Queen's Grant 47-22. Sugar Creek's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Sugar Creek's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Infiniti Green led the charge by scoring 14 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Green is absolutely dominating the block category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Allure Bishop was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with three steals.
Triniti Hartis and Sarah Graham certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Hartis scored ten points, while Graham scored seven points. Those ten points set a new season-high mark for her.
Sugar Creek's victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-11. As for Queen's Grant, they bumped their record down to 0-8 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home.
Sugar Creek will take on Carolina International at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Queen's Grant, they will head out on the road to face off against Fletcher at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
