Baseball Recap: Camden Fairview Has No Trouble Against Hope

While Camden Fairview put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Hope. The Cardinals put the hurt on the Bobcats with a sharp 13-0 win. Considering the Cardinals have won five matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Jy'Mauri Utsey, who went 3-for-4 with one home run and five RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Zac Morehead, who scored two runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

Camden Fairview always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .550. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hope only posted an OBP of .273.

Camden Fairview's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 5-9. As for Hope, they are on a 22-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-14.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Camden Fairview will take on Prescott at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Hope, they will square off against De Kalb at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bears' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Bobcats' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
