The Master's Academy Eagles will face off against the Mount Dora Christian Academy Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Master's Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1 runs per game this season.
Master's Academy is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to ten runs on Wednesday, they were much more limited against East River on Friday. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Falcons.
Sawyer Smith made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Mount Dora Christian Academy made easy work of East River on Saturday and carried off a 10-4 victory.
Alex Wise was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in February. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.
In other batting news, Eli Feld was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jayden Wise, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.
Mount Dora Christian Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are 4-2 when they post 11 or more hits.
Mount Dora Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Master's Academy, their loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-6.
Everything went Master's Academy's way against Mount Dora Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in February, as Master's Academy made off with a 13-3 victory.
