Dora came tearing into Friday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Melrose Buffaloes 17-10. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 23-7 on Friday.
Timmy Neal made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out eight batters over 5.1 innings while giving up four earned (and four unearned) runs off seven hits (and not a single walk). Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was even better at the plate, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and one double.
