The Piketon Redstreaks will head out on the road to face off against the Adena Warriors at 7:15 p.m. on Saturday. Piketon will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 428th, while the Warriors are ranked 103rd).
On Thursday, it was a hard-fought matchup, but Piketon had to settle for a 40-38 defeat against the Panthers.
Meanwhile, after a string of nine wins, Adena's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 62-49 to Unioto. Adena has struggled against the Shermans recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Piketon has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season. As for Adena, their defeat ended a 12-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 17-2.
Piketon was taken down by the Warriors 75-46 in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. Can Piketon avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
