Softball Recap: TERRA Environmental Continues Road Dominance on Tuesday

TERRA Environmental made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Homestead, but they still couldn't quite topple them. TERRA Environmental put the hurt on the Homestead Broncos with a sharp 18-8 victory on Tuesday. TERRA Environmental might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by seven runs or more this season.

TERRA Environmental got a massive performance out of Aryanna Hussain, who scored four runs and stole Four bases. while going 4-for-4. Hussain is also on a roll when it comes to triples, as she's now hit at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Alyssa Rigali, who scored four runs and stole Seven bases. while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Hussain wasn't the only one working in the hit department: TERRA Environmental kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits every time they've taken the field this season.

TERRA Environmental's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 14.8 runs. As for Homestead, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. TERRA Environmental will face off against Coral Gables at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. TERRA Environmental is facing Coral Gables at the right time seeing as Coral Gables is stuck on a six-game losing streak. Homestead will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on South Dade at 6:30 p.m. on April 1st.
