It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Lee-Scott Academy Warriors had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They breezed by the Volunteers at home to the tune of 84-33. Lee-Scott Academy's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Lee-Scott Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ben Aldridge out in front who scored 21 points along with six steals and five rebounds. Aldridge continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Chapman Harris, who scored 23 points along with five rebounds.
The victory was the fifth in a row for Lee-Scott Academy, bringing their record for this year to 25-5. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.8 points per game. As for Monroe Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-10.
Lee-Scott Academy will face off against Valiant Cross Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Valiant Cross Academy is coming into the contest with four straight victories on the road, meaning Lee-Scott Academy will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win. Monroe Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
