If the CenterPoint Christian Academy Lions were riding high off their 70-39 takedown of Varsity Opponent back in December of 2023, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. CenterPoint Christian Academy opened the new year with a less-than-successful 45-37 loss to Oakdale Academy. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points CenterPoint Christian Academy has scored all season.
Despite the loss, CenterPoint Christian Academy had strong showings from Jeremy Boilatt, who scored 19 points along with nine rebounds and three steals, and Nolan Dieterle, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and three steals. The game was Boilatt's sixth in a row with at least ten points.
CenterPoint Christian Academy struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
CenterPoint Christian Academy bumped their record down to 2-4 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Oakdale Academy, their win bumped their record up to 7-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. CenterPoint Christian Academy will take on New Life Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Oakdale Academy and Livingston Christian will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 11th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Livingston Christian is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
