Sycamore proved they can win big last Monday (they won by 11) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a run and slipped past the St. Charles East Fighting Saints 4-3. The victory was nothing new for the Spartans as they're now sitting on four straight.

Sycamore's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for St. Charles East, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sycamore will host Huntley at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Charles East, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Glenbard North at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
